None that could identify you. This publication has no account system, no login, no comment facility, no newsletter and no submission form. Because there is no mechanism through which you could send us anything, we hold no names, no postal or electronic addresses, no telephone numbers and no message content whatsoever.
We set no cookies. Nothing is written to local storage or session storage by any page here. You will not see a consent banner because there is nothing on these pages that would require consent. Your browser may keep its own cache of stylesheets and images to make return visits faster; that cache is under your control and is cleared through your browser settings.
No analytics service, tag manager, heat map, session recorder or social platform pixel is present on any page. We do not run measurement software of our own and we do not load anybody else's. As a consequence we do not know which essays are read, how long anyone stays, or where our readers come from, and we have accepted that as the cost of not tracking people.
There is no advertising on this site, no ad network code, no affiliate tracking and no sponsored content. No commercial profile of you is built, consulted or shared through these pages.
Every asset used here — stylesheets, scripts, images, the site emblem — is served from this domain. No fonts, libraries, widgets or media are pulled from an external host, so reading an essay does not cause a request to any third party.
The hosting layer that serves these files may automatically log standard request information such as the file requested, a timestamp, an HTTP response code and a truncated network address. This is produced by the web server for reliability and abuse prevention, is not linked to any identity, is not examined for behavioural purposes, and is rotated out on a short schedule.
Essays occasionally reference other websites. Those are governed by their own privacy practices, and once you follow a link we have no visibility of or control over what is collected. The decision to leave this site is yours and their policy applies from that moment.
Our writing is intended for a general adult readership interested in games criticism. Since no personal data is collected from any visitor, none is collected from minors either.
Data protection law grants rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing here to disclose, amend or delete. This is a deliberate decision about how to run a publication rather than an oversight.
Should this journal ever add a feature that processes personal data, this notice will be rewritten before that feature goes live and the change will be described plainly rather than folded quietly into a new version.
